Emily Irene VanCamp was originally keen on becoming a professional dancer but after a visit to Katie's set on Ladies Room, she became more inclined to act. Alongside learning to act, VanCamp landed the role of a guest on a TV show in Canada. A few of the television shows she was a part of include Are You scared of Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp's career exploded after being cast as Sam Dolan, a regular in the series WB Horror Mystery Glory Days. The show was cancelled after just nine episodes despite the positive reviews and poor ratings. In fact the May 12 1986 actress from the United States had a quick time securing a new position in Everwood as part of the main cast Amy Abbott. She was a finalist in four Teen Choice Awards and a Young Artist Award.
